On this edition of the weekly buff our customer brought to us a Restored 72 Chevelle that he had gotten from a previous owner that had overhauled everything under the hood and put in a brand new Eldebrock engine that made this beauty sounds amazing everytime it turned on. The previous owner had however put it through some paces while driving and when washing it. The crew began by washing it with our EVO Pro Shampoo and we as always used a mild clay bar to remove anything abrasive from the paint finish. Once the wash process was done we moved it completely into the shop and let Josh and JR get started on the paint.

Josh and JR after doing a few test panels decided on a three step process on the roof, and a 2 step process on the rest of the finish. There werent heavy scratches on most of the paint that would demand heavy attention so they began right away with our EVO 800 Heavy Cut Polish and a wool pad to remove the deeper scratches which did a great job but does leave some marring. To remove the marring we use our EVO 2000 Cut Finishing polish, which left the paint finish looking perfect and brand new. Whoever had repainted the car for the previous owner had done an amazing job putting down plenty of paint and clear.

Once the paint correction process was complete they cleaned off the finish by washing it once again to remove all polish dust and anything that may be on the paint before ceramic coating. We used a full array of our Ceramic Coatings on the vehicle from our EVO Pro 7H Ceramic Coating to prevent future damage to the entire paint finish. We applied two layers with plenty of curring time between layers, and our EVO Gloss Enhancer Quick Detailer to level the layers of coating removing the solvent not the ceramic itself. We also applied our EVO Tire Gloss leaving a fresh rubber tire look with a product that wont sling when driving.

When the customer was on his way, we were beyond excited to show him the results that we were able to achieve. When he arrived he was ecstatic that the swirls and scratches were no where to be found and, that from now on his baby was going to be protected from further damage, and new damage that could occur while driving.
