On this edition of the weekly buff, we have a beautiful Porsche 944 in red that the owner wanted to bring back to life with paint correction and protect it for years to come, since it had just been repainted months prior. The first thing, as always, is to prep the vehicle to get ready for the correction. The first thing is to use a claybar to remove anything abrasive that could damage the paint. Once that is complete, we moved on to a 2-step paint correction to remove as many imperfections on the paint finish as possible. Once Jr and Lucus were done with that, Jon and Josh began to install full nose PPF, which was more difficult than anticipated because there were no patterns and a lot of it had to be done in a 72-in roll of PPF. Once that was complete, the vehicle looked amazing, and the final step was to ceramic coat the entire vehicle. We used our EVO PRO Ceramic coatings, providing years of protection and ensuring that it was easy to clean and maintain for years to come. This build really shows why the combination of full nose
PPF and ceramic coating is worth the investment for a car like this. The PPF acts as a sacrificial layer against rock chips, road debris, and everyday wear, so the fresh paint underneath stays protected from the exact kind of damage that would otherwise undo all the correction work. Layering our EVO PRO Ceramic coating on top adds a hydrophobic, UV-resistant barrier that keeps the finish glossy, makes washing dramatically easier, and helps prevent oxidation, water spotting, and chemical staining for years down the road. Together, these two services give a repainted car like this Porsche 944 the best possible chance at staying show-ready for the long haul.
