On this edition of the weekly buff we present a beautiful Restomod Corvette brought to us by our customer Rick. He got this beauty built in Des Moines Iowa by the amazing Karl Kustoms who hand fabricated the entire front end and rear split window to resemble the 63 corvette 😍 The donor vehicle was a 2013 C6 Corvette anniversary edition, and they kept the entire middle original engine, chassis, electronics, and interior are all modern. Rick wanted us to polish the paint to perfection remove all the scratches from every day driving, and then to protect it with our Gloss IT Graphene Ceramic Coating for years to come.

The first step was as always prep the guys began using our EVO Gloss IT shampoo with clean wash mits, and a light claybar to remove all the abrasives that could be on the finish. We also used our Gloss IT wheel gel to remove all the brake dust, and road debris on the face and barrels of the wheels.

The next step was for Josh and JR to polish the paint to perfection. Now since the vehicle was almost brand new it was in good shape to begin with, so they only needed to perform one solid step of correction, and a light second step in certain areas. They used our EVO 21 Polisher along with our 2000 Cut finishing polish for the entire vehicle and our EVO 3000 Cut finish in some spots in order to leave the finish looking absolutely spotless.

When we moved it on to PPF Max was ready to begin with one more decontamination step to ensure nothing is below the film that we are going to use that will show through. Once he finished that Josh and Max removed the front bumper, and emblems to ensure that the PPF will have little to no seems visble to the eye. Normally for most vehicles there are patterns we can use to cut the pieces out that will fit the body lines, but with this restomod since it is all custom Max did his thing and hand cut all the patterns from the fenders to the amazing hood scoop and below the bumper to protect it from further rock chips while driving. When Max finished he and Josh took their time putting all the pieces back on to spec looking like there was nothing added to the car at all.

Once Max was finished with the PPF install we moved on to the final touches with Josh and JR. they began by appling our Gloss IT Glass Coating making it easier wash, and preventing water spots from forming on the glass overtime. They then moved on to appling our EVO PRO Graphene Ceramic Coating offering a 8 year warranty and a beautiful deep gloss on the entire finish 🔥🔥 On the wheels we applied our Wheel & Caliper Coating to make it easier when cleaning by preventing brake dust from sticking to the metal. They also used our EVO Plastic Renew & Protect on all the plastic trim to provide a deep black look and it wont whiten over time, and a final top coat to the finish with our EVO Body Guard adding a final layer of Ceramic Protection, and amazing slickness to the paint.
